Miracles Still Happen at Thrift Stores

Kenn S. was down on his luck when he walked into an ARC thrift store and nabbed the find of a lifetime!

So one day while I was laid off from work, down in the dumps, I trotted on over to an ARC. I walk in not really expecting anything. I see a huge stack of games near the CD’s. There was a lot of them, so they didn’t put them in the showcase like they usually do. I think to my self, “OH BOY!  30 Mario duck hunts and John Elway Quarterback!”

So as I approach the games there were two other guys kind of hovering near the games and one had his phone out. I take a look…oh there’s an SNES Link To The Past, Mega Man 1-3, and Ducktales. “Nice,” I say to myself with my best pokerface on.

Then, it happened.

Bubble Bobble 2. Just sitting there. My heart drops. I calmly pick it up and start picking up the others. The other two guys decided to walk away. I almost couldn’t contain my excitement.

How would you feel if you found a Bubble Bobble 2 in a thrift store like Kenn?  I’d worry about my health, that’s for sure.

  1. If I ran into something like that at a thrift store, I’d probably punch the air and squeal like a little girl. This would be done when no one is around, of course. The poker face part would be when I am at the register paying, but I’m sure my hands would be shaking just a little. Once in the car, windows go down, Lamb of God pumping through the speakers and I am yelling HELL F****G YEAH!!!! out the window like a mad man. The Gaming Gods shone upon Kenn that day and blessed him! =)
